Well, this reminds me a little of eastern Europe, too — the process there went in fits and starts. The momentum only picked up at the very end — like the joke went, Poland took 10 years, Hungary took 10 months, Czechoslovakia took 10 days, East Germany took 10 hours, and Romania took 10 minutes. =,

What Greg said. It will not be a smooth process. And it does feel vital like 1989. As I walked past City Hall today, there was the line around the block that I’ve gotten used to seeing so quickly.
