Because I spent three years living in Japan, I laughed my head off at the Digital Short from this weekend’s SNL.

“Suteepuru wa doko desu ka?” LOL! (*covers mouth and giggles*) I heart Kristen Wiig, by the way. Everything she does is usually pretty hilarious.
I was wondering if the lines were actually Japanese or just nonsense syllables. Any insight?
Some of it was definitely Japanese, although with a bad accent. It might have all been Japanese. Jim definitely asked Dwight where his stapler was.
A couple other lines I caught… Michael says something like he’s the funniest boss in Japan: “Nihon de ichiban omoshiroi bosu desu.” And after the stapler incident Michael asks “Nani desu ka?” (what is this/it?) and everyone’s “Gomen nasai” (sorry). My 1.5 painful years of Japanese class finally coming in handy. ;-)
