Hmm. I think I’d lean more toward “handsome.” Google shows he’s changed his look quite a bit in the past. I think this incarnation is the best so far, though.
And we may follow suit in a couple of years. Almost every time I see Christine Quinn, the Speaker of the New York City Council, profiled, it mentions her as a favorite to run and/or the possible next mayor.
My insignificant wide spot in the road of Ossining has had a gay mayor (my neighbor) since 2006. I think he was the first gay mayor in Westchester.
Wow, I hadn’t read about this anywhere else. Well, even though this means that my hometown of Providence will lose its status as the biggest U.S. city with a gay mayor, I’m happy for Portland and for Mr. Adams. Now he has to do a good job, of course!
