Arrgh More

Hi, my name’s Tin Man, and I can’t make up my mind? Um, so I’m going to use my blog to vent about it?

There seem to be a number of roommate situations in Park Slope, Carroll Gardens, et cetera, that I can afford, according to Craigslist. It’s when the weekend arrives that I don’t like living in Jersey City. Brooklyn isn’t Manhattan, but it has its own gay bars… good for weeknight carousing as well as Friday or Saturday night jaunts, I presume. Plus Prospect Park… the downside would be the long commute, and having a roommate. Unless the roommate turned out to be decent. And if it didn’t work out, I could always move on to a different situation. Hmmm…

God, I hate making decisions.

  1. If change is your main priority then maybe you should think about a move to Brooklyn. But, new roommates and a longer commute sound like major downers to me. It’s true that there’s a really nice atmosphere in Park Slope. And I think Excelsior is perhaps the most pleasant gay bar in NYC. But is that enough to move? Maybe you should see how the Gay Men’s Chorus changes your social patterns and then decide. Maybe you can negotiate a shorter lease renewal in the meantime. But, again, if you are REALLY feeling restless maybe you should just jump and see what happens.

  2. Ah, the fun and frustration of being an adult: some days I wish these decisions would be made for me.

Although, come to think of it, I do better at the major decisions–which job to take, which house to buy, which car to purchase–than the small ones. Figuring out what to wear just paralyzes me.
