There’s no excuse for people doing that. Of course, I get pissed at people who throw cigarette butts on the ground (it doesn’t matter if you’re done with it–it’s still litter, people!). I guess the Sanitation Department has its work cut out for it.

I couldn’t make it to the parade because of work. But thanks for the pics. The litter reminds me that we are not alone. Ever.

The gays are IN the show. The trash was left by spectators–you know, hip young parents trying to broaden their children’s perspectives.
I live in the neighborhood and the place was pretty trashed. The problem is that all of the trashcans fill up in the first hour. The city never puts out extra trashcans (or trashbags for that matter). I think there would be a lot less trash on the street if there were places to put the overflow.
yes there is a lot of trash left behind. i happened to see the trash left behind last weekend after the puerto rican day parade and it was equally as bad if not worse.
