So, tonight we head to Montreal for the weekend. Matt and my parents and I are driving to upstate New York tonight and then continuing on to Montreal tomorrow morning. We’ll be there through Sunday. This is a last-minute request, but does anyone have any must-see recommendations?
Make sure you go to the Norte Dame Cathedral..it’s one of the oldest or biggest on the east coast…quite an amazing building. That is the one site that me and my partner truely enjoyed (and the surrounding area) when we were then in 2002…have fun
If you can, eat at L’Express. Based on many recommendations we ate there when I visited Montreal about six months ago. Very casual and unassuming, but excellent, French food. I’m not a big fan of tranditional French cuisine (I tend more towards Asian/Indian cuisine) — but it was fantastic. It’s also a very casual environment. If you do go, please report back.
Also, Stock Bar in the village area, is, erm, interesting. But not in a way that Matt’s parents would probably appreciate. The boys expose it all — clear ’nuff? It’s definitely got a creepy vibe, but it’s, um, interesting :)
