It’s amazing how fast the weeks have been passing since I started my new job. Every other Monday night I go to a trivia contest with friends; Tuesday night is chorus rehearsal; then it’s Humpday, then Thursday and then it’s the weekend – which zooms by – and then it’s Monday again.
And I have a job that I actually kinda like.
Someday I’ll wake up and suddenly be 65, won’t I. Scary.
Actually, it’s not so scary waking up and suddenly being 65. It certainly beats not waking up at all. I worked in various city government jobs for 34 years and woke up at age 58 with a well-funded, secure retirement. I’ve enjoyed it for four years now. Soon you’ll find that not only do the weeks fly by, the years do also. You’ll also find that 50 and 60 year olds seldom want to return to their 30’s (well, maybe on some days).
