Can anyone recommend a good gay or gay-friendly doctor in Manhattan? I’ve realized I don’t have a regular doctor anymore since I switched jobs, and it would be good to have one.

I’m actually looking myself. I was told there’s a website, gayhealth (not sure if it’s .com or .org) that is good for this.
There are some good folks at Callen-Lorde (www.callen-lorde.org), though I don’t know if they’ll take your insurance…if you have insurance…?
I also had a good experience at Callen-Lorde…well, as good as having a swab put in uncomfortable places can be. But the swabber was hot.
I don’t particularly recommend Callen-Lorde. I’ve wanted to support them since they do good stuff in the community, but if you need to do anything over the phone besides make an appointment I’ve found it really difficult to get through to anyone over there. I’ve even faxed in a letter to complain about it and no one bothered to call me back. So I’m actually in the same boat as you, still looking for my regular doctor…
callan lorde. they’re a pain in the ass a lot. but, it’s nice having a gay doctor that you can talk to about gay issues and not have to worry. also, the chelsea clinton clinic is very gay friendly.
I go to the Miller Institute, which is just a fancy name for a practice in midtown. It was originally geared toward performing artists and, hence, is gay friendly. Not sure if the focus is still on actors, singers, and dancers, but I’m pretty sure anyone can go. Let me know if you want further info.
