Electability

This is a must-read about the travesty of a presidential debate Wednesday night. George Stephanopolous defended the vacuous questions he and Charles Gibson asked, saying that voters were concerned about electability. Ed Kilgore rips apart this argument.

I’m still mad about that debate.

  1. I too am upset at the tone and style of the ‘debate’. But I am more aure now than ever that the nomination will be Obama’s. Though in the end he will have more states in the win column, more delegates, and actual votes the most important thing will be the massive energized group of Americans that will fight for his right to be the nominee.

Look at the last 48 hours….ABC News has a new one ripped in public…..imagine what would happen if a ‘backroom’ deal were to emerge and try to place Clinton as the nominee. Were would a superdelegate seek refuge?

The power and firmness of the Obama voter bodes well for the remaining weeks (?) of the primary season, and the general election.

Sadly, all this is only happening because Clinton wil not allow the facts of the race to remove the ego that drives her on week after endless week. There is no way for her to win; all she does is harm the Democrats this fall.

But in the end Obama will prevail.

And we will all be better as a result.
