Only three U.S. presidents so far have had names ending in vowel sounds: James Monroe, William McKinley, and John F. Kennedy.
(Most popular final letter: N. Washington, Jefferson, Madison, Jackson, Van Buren, Harrison, Buchanan, Lincoln, Johnson, Harrison, Wilson, Truman, Johnson, Nixon, Reagan, Clinton.)
Where do you come up with these things?!
That is pretty interesting. Although my favorite bit of presidential trivia – because, of course, it applies to me – is that if Obama wins, for the first time in my life, I’ll be older than the president. Scary, huh?
That’s distressing. But then again, since the myth about curse on Presidents elected in a zero-year has unfortunately failed to come true, perhaps this statistical pattern will likewise not hold.
