  1. He stole the first one, granted. But the craven herd of cowardly sheep that is the American people handed him the second.

I was just mindlessly watching TV the other night when that clip was played a preview of the 11:00 news. I laughed so hard I fell off the couch and nearly choked on a pretzel.

  2. It’s destined to be one of the iconic images in American history, I am certain. It is amazing — and infuriating — that America, this supposed beacon of justice and democracy and fairness and equality, became a country where an illegitimately elected president can launch a war against a defenseless country that neither attacked us nor threatened us nor had the capacity to do either without any substantial evidence whatsoever, and then can proceed to waste billions of dollars and thousands of lives and basically destabilize the global economy in the process. And on January 20, the person who has been nominally “in charge” of this entire criminal enterprise, is just going to go home. And that will be the end of the story. Thousands of people are dead, a country lies in shambles on the brink of civil war, innocent people have been imprisoned and tortured, and there will be absolutely no consequences whatsoever for the people responsible. Sickening.
