Here’s a great segment from CNN yesterday: Anderson Cooper moderating a debate between Evan Wolfson, head of Freedom to Marry and civil rights legend, and Maggie Gallagher, opponent of equality. I love how Wolfson calmly deflects all of Gallagher’s contentions. (I’ve done some work for Wolfson before, so I might be biased.)
She came to Tucson and I went to hear her. Way back in college she had sex- no birth control because she is Catholic- and got pregnant. Daddy wouldn’t marry her. She is extremely bitter about that. So this morphed into her opinion that every child needs a man and a woman. And that morphed into her very lucrative career pushing her personal views about marriage to fundamentalist Christians. I suspect the reason NOM does not want the Maine financial disclosures is her fancy salary will come out and people will see what a money-grubber she is. Really, she is a loathsome person.
Perhaps she looked different in college, but I cannot imagine anyone wanting to have sex with that.
I haven’t seen anything of Maggie besides this video and found her to be very likable (mean comment, Daniel…). I’m not sure if should think that’s a good thing or bad thing compared to Sarah Palin…
Okay, I’m going to go ahead and close up the comments on this post. I really don’t have the stomach for another conflict in my blog comments right now.
